This week, we’re sharing a series of interview-style blog posts to help you get to know the team behind your vacations. Next up, meet Whitney Wright, one of our incredible travel advisors here at Emily’s Travel.

Whitney brings heart to every itinerary she plans—whether she’s crafting unforgettable getaways for couples or helping families make memories almost anywhere in the world.

Here’s what she had to share...

Meet Whitney Wright, Travel Advisor at Emily's TRavel

What is your favorite travel destination of all time? - The Bahamas will always have a special place in my heart, but my favorite destination I've ever been is St. Kitts

Which city would you most like to visit that you haven't yet? - Gosh, is there a limit?  I think if I had to narrow it down it would be Dublin and Paris

Which country has your favorite cuisine, and/or what dish do you love the most? - Easy - Salsa and Guac in Mexico.  Simple girl 🙂

What’s your favorite travel activity?

Talking with locals, learning about life at the particular destination, and the beach!

Do you have a favorite travel season—spring, summer, fall, or winter?

Winter - to escape from the cold! But love to travel during the spring because the destinations are a lot less crowded and busy!

When you fly, do you prefer the window, middle, or aisle seat?

Window 100% - although my kids usually get that one so I am usually in the middle 🙂

Which travel experience would you do over and over again?

Watching my children visit a new destination and seeing them enjoy it as much as me.  There is nothing better than watching them grow and explore.

Do you have a favorite travel companion or someone you love to travel with most?

My family.  My boys have become great at traveling and now that they are older it's a lot easier

Do you have a favorite must pack item?

My Quillow ( Blanket + Pillow).  You will never find me on vacation or travelling without a blanket from home!

What’s your best travel tip or advice?

Don't plan too much.  It's a personal preference but if your schedule is jam packed, or you have an itinerary packed full of things to do, you will miss the quietness and relaxation part of travel.  Truly enjoy your surroundings and live the way the country lives.  We as Americans are so fast paced, always rearing to go, so when you go to other countries, you will see that they slow down.  And I hope people do that as well when on vacation.  It's supposed to be fun - not stressful ❤️
