Yes, each of our travel advisors sets their own planning fee for new travelers based on the complexity of the trip. Fees may vary depending on factors such as the type of trip, number of travelers, destination(s), and the number of quote revisions beyond our standard two to three options. These fees are paid directly to your advisor and are a separate charge from your travel booking.
We charge planning fees because your trip deserves our full attention—and so does our time. Travel advisors are not paid by suppliers until long after you’ve traveled (and sometimes not at all if plans change), so this fee helps ensure we can continue offering expert, dedicated service. It also allows us to prioritize clients who are serious about planning with us. As a high-volume agency that works with experienced travelers, we appreciate clients who value our expertise, connections, and the time we invest to craft something exceptional just for you.
Yes, we offer customizable travel packages to ensure your trip meets all your expectations. We book travel packages that possibly include airfare, hotel/resort accommodations, cruise accommodations, airport transfers, travel activities, and travel insurance. We, also, have the ability to book special occasion accommodations like group trips, celebrations, surprise arrangements, and more. Whether it's a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a group adventure, we can create travel packages to meet your preferences.
We can book almost any destination worldwide. Whether you want to travel by cruise or tour, we can create a travel package for you in your dream destination. We offer multi-destination itineraries, as well, for those who want to make the most of their travel experience. Talk with your advisor about the best destination options for you!
If you are traveling out of the country, you need a government issued passport. Passports must not expire within six months of the travel return date. Passports must have at least two blank pages.
For cruises that depart from and return to the same U.S. port, a passport is not required. Instead, you can use a government-issued ID and a birth certificate. However, it is recommended to have a passport available in case of emergencies.
For more passport information, including how to apply or renew, visit this website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html
We understand that plans can change. Emily's Travel charges a $100 per person change/cancellation fee which must be collected prior to our agency releasing the booking. Cancellation fees are different than planning fees and booking charges. For example, you can not use your "planning fee" to pay for your "cancellation fee" to Emily's Travel. Our supplier's cancellation and change policies are, also, applicable to the booking which vary depending on the specific trip and components involved. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible if you need to make any changes to your booking.
