Celebrating Agent & Agency of the Year onboard the Crystal Cruise
Just a few weeks ago, Emily's Travel attended our host travel agency's annual Crystal Conference Cruise & Awards Ceremony. It's hard to believe we've been with our host agency, KHM Travel Group, for over eleven years.
About the Crystal Cruise
The Crystal Cruise is both a celebration of the past year's achievements and an opportunity to plan for the year ahead with travel suppliers, industry experts, and our fellow agents. This cruise had over four hundred participants onboard! This year's theme of the cruise was "Make Your Mark," and after attending the events and meetings, Emily felt so inspired to continue making our mark in the travel industry. It was a true reminder of why we are dedicated to providing amazing travel experiences for our travelers.
This year's cruise was onboard the Celebrity Reflection, and we sailed the Eastern Caribbean with ports of call in Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Bimini Beach in the Bahamas. While Emily spent most of her time at this conference networking and working, she also had the chance to explore a bit of the cruise ship and the Caribbean destinations! While onboard, we had meetings and great discussions with resort, cruise and destination business development managers. One of the schedule highlights was the supplier scavenger hunt, where we were greeted by both some new and some familiar BDMs whom we love to connect with!
Not only did we connect with the travel partners who empower our agency, but we also reunited with our fellow travel agents whom we affectionately call our "KHM Family." We're all part of our host agency, viewing each other as a supportive community rather than competitors. Over the past decade, we've laughed, cried, celebrated, and built relationships that mean the absolute world to us. We are profoundly grateful for the partnerships and friendships we've formed within the agent community.
Last but certainly not least, we had the pleasure of reconnecting with our host agency's team. Our host agency is exceptional in providing endless support and encouraging growth. We've grown and learned invaluable lessons thanks to the guidance of CEO Rick Zimmerman, Vice President of Agent Relations Bill Coyle, the executive team, and each individual on the KHM Travel Group team. We can't thank the KHM Travel Group team enough for creating travel opportunities for the agent community to come together multiple times per year and for their endless support of our businesses.
The Crystal Cruise Awards Ceremony
Every year we attend this conference, we eagerly anticipate the results announced during the Crystal Conference's Awards Ceremony. Both our agency, Emily's Travel, and our top agent, Emily Bookey, were nominated for several awards with our host agency and top suppliers. We were immensely grateful to have earned the titles of Agency of the Year and Agent of the Year for 2023!
Earning awards like Agent of the Year and Agency of the Year is an incredible honor for us. These titles are a testament to our hard work and dedication, made possible by the loyal support of our travelers who choose Emily's Travel for their worldwide trips and cruises. We are profoundly thankful for these awards, but they also serve as a reminder to continue striving, putting every bit of effort and energy into our agency.
The Crystal Conference awarded over 50 accolades to agents and industry professionals. Congratulations to all the award nominees and winners. We are immensely proud of your achievements and take great joy and inspiration in cheering you all on throughout the ceremony! It's absolutely awe-striking to see how many agents come together to celebrate each other's successes.
There is so much to be said about everything we learn during work trips like these, but what stands out the most is the importance of relationships. The incredible support system we have at Emily's Travel makes it all possible, from our dedicated team and our host agency to the suppliers and fellow agents who inspire us to be the best travel agents we can be.
